With the hustle and bustle of life and work, clutter had taken over my home-based workspace. As a result, my ability to be productive was severely compromised. Although she never ‘physically’ visited my home office, Ellen Martin was able to virtually coach me and supply me with the tools I needed. She enabled me understand how to rearrange my office for more efficiency and gave me ideas I could not have seen on my own.
She not only helped me to sift through the clutter and get my space organized but also how to develop a system and the habits to keep it that way. Admittedly, I fell from grace but was easily able (on my own) to return to an organized space with the tools and exercises she gave me. And I now know how to decide what should stay and what to throw away along with what to do with the stuff I keep!
I recommend Ellen because she understands how clutter starts and the ways to ward it off for good. She taught me it was more than just ‘cleaning up’ but a mindset shift and a ‘new way of operating’ that would support my organized environment AND productivity.
Before I started working with Ellen, I was feeling overwhelmed and frustrated in trying to get it all done. I knew what I should be doing to organize my business but somehow just couldn’t get it together. After just one call with Ellen, I felt a tremendous sense of relief.
Ellen took the time to really get to know me and my organization style. Ellen’s coaching has provided me with clarity and focus to really move my business forward and I am sincerely grateful to her for that. I finally feel like I’m able to maximize my productivity each day, allowing me to end my work days at a reasonable hour knowing I’ve accomplished what I’ve needed to do. Before working with Ellen, I was dealing with a huge case of “paper stress.” My family and I had moved to a home in 2001 that had less storage and filing capabilities than I was used to. Thus, boxes and boxes of files and paperwork just got shoved in closets and “hidden away.” This closet monster was always looming over me but I felt stuck and overwhelmed every time I attempted to remedy the problem.
Ellen was able to help me streamline what I was saving and learn to make more rational decisions about which paperwork to keep. Her ideas for quick access to important paperwork will make hurricane evacuations much less stressful. One of the biggest changes has been emotional as the stress of dealing with the paperwork that comes into my home has lessened dramatically. I now have a system to deal with it and even if it starts piling up when I’m out of town or overloaded, I know that it’s not an insurmountable problem, but one I can handle. Thanks, Ellen!
Working with Ellen has really helped me focus on establishing priorities and systematically work toward my ultimate goals. The GO System is a simple and easy to follow way of organizing tasks and increasing productivity. It provides a proven approach to getting things done and eliminating procrastination. I have successfully implemented the system in my day job and plan to use it to help me accomplish more at home. In addition to doing an excellent job of teaching the principles of the GO System, Ellen shared a number of other ideas and a long list of valuable resources. I highly recommend the course!
I always thought that multi-tasking was a strength until I realized that I produce better results when I give my full attention to one task. The GO Systems Training helped put me on a behavior path in which I now do one thing at a time – well, almost!
Ellen Martin was such a help to me! I felt paralyzed to begin organizing anything. Ellen gave me much needed direction, focus, motivation, and ideas. Also, I had instant gratification! You have been such a tremendous help. I feel liberated. It’s like having a clean conscience: no ugly surprises lurking in the piles of paper on my desk, no unfinished projects stacked in corners, no drawers filled with useless bits and pieces of who-knows-what. Now, I can actually find what I’m looking for, I can get dressed in a hurry when I need to, and I don’t have to worry if somebody drops in unexpectedly. What a relief! And the system we worked out together takes advantage of my space and my personality and habits. It may not work for anybody else but it seems to be working for me.
